SUMMARY:Heart O' Dixie Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:The 46th edition of the Heart O’ Dixie Triathlon will be held on Saturday June 20th\, 2026 – during the Neshoba County Fair. The race begins at 6:30 a.m. with a 1/2 mile swim in Lake Tiak O’Khata in Louisville\, MS –  followed by a 27 mile bike ride down hwy 15 into Philadelphia\, MS –  it concludes with a 6.5 mile run finishing on the horse racing track at the historic Neshoba County Fairgrounds. The first Heart O’ Dixie Triathlon was held in 1980 not long after the first modern swim/bike/run Triathlon event was held at Mission Bay in San Diego\, California in 1974.  The Heart O’ Dixie Triathlon is one of the longest running triathlons in the United States. We invite you to come experience one of the most unique\, yet thrilling triathlons in the U.S.\nSchedule of Events \n\n\nFriday\, June 19th \n4:00 PM:    Packet pickup begins inside Lake Tiak-O’ Khata Inn \n6:30 PM:    Pre-Race Meeting inside Lake Tiak-O’ Khata Inn (consider this required – this is where any updated/new information will be discussed and important reminders mentioned – there will be a new swim start location and format for 2026 which will be discussed at this meeting)  \n7:00 PM:    Packet pickup ends (packet pickup will be available for 15 minutes after the pre-race meeting for those who arrived during the meeting) \n\nYour timing chip will be located inside your packet. So there is no seperate pickup for your timing chip.\nPlease note: there will be no packet pickup during the pre-race meeting\, you will have time to get it after the meeting concludes. \nThere is an open buffet meal provided (for a fee) by Lake Tiak-O’ Khata Inn\, it is usually a pasta meal  that is appropriate for our athletes. \n\nSaturday\, June 20th (RACE DAY) \n5:15 AM:    Packet Pick-up begins inside Lake Tiak-O’ Khata Inn \n5:15 AM:    Transition area open \n6:10 AM:    Packet pick-up closes \n6:30 AM:     Race start \n11:00 AM:   Race Course Closes \n11:00 AM:   Awards Ceremony at the Neshoba County Fair Grandstands \n11:30 AM:   Bus transport from Neshoba County Fair (finish line) back to Lake Tiak-O’Khata (race start location) \n2:00 PM:     Transition areas 1 and 2 close. All swim gear and bikes should be picked up by this time. After 2:00 p.m the security personnel will no longer be securing transition 2 and your bike will be left to defend itself! All gear that is left at the swim-bike transition area\, after 2:00 p.m. will be collected and can not be guaranteed for return as the race committee has to have all things cleaned up at Lake Tiak-O’ Khata by 2:00 p.m. or else fined. DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the Mid-South Races for Hope\, formerly known as the Mid-South Marathon. We have big plans for a celebration of this milestone that few races achieve. Be watching this page and our social media pages for announcements to come. \nThe people of Cross County have always offered runners and walkers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of corporate America. Rediscover what you love about running\, enjoy a slice of rural American country running and take in the vibrant fall colors of Crowley’s Ridge. While we are still recovering from the March 31\, 2023 tornado\, our community is building back and moving ahead. \nOur races are out and back races that wind through part of the historic district and continue out along the ridge through fields ripe for harvest. The start and finish lines will be at Wynne Baptist Church. Our race is certified and is a Boston Marathon qualifying race. We will have aid stations approximately every mile\, and port-o-potties are also located near each station! Each aid station will be supplied with Vaseline\, Gatorade\, fruit\, snacks\, and smiles. At the finish line we will serve the traditional championship BBQ plate supper for all finishers and their families. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Maumelle Foodie 5k/10k fun run! Come work up an appetite and run on the paved trails around the beautiful Lake Willastein in the heart of Maumelle. When you are hungry after the run\, head on over to the Maumelle Food Truck Festival and enjoy some good food with 40+ food trucks and vendors to satisfy everyone’s cravings! This is a great run for beginners looking for a new challenge\, or for the experienced runner looking for a enjoyable fall race to train for. The course is a looped course\, with the 5k being one loop around the lake\, and the 10k will be two! The course will have a 2 hour time limit. Come and join us for a fun day at Lake Willastein\, celebrating and supporting the city of Maumelle! \nEvery finisher will receive a medal. Specific awards will be handed out to the top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 and under\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70 and over for both the 5k and 10k. \nRegister before October 19\, 2025 to guarantee your T-shirt and medal! After that\, shirts will be handed out first-come\, first-serve while supplies last. \nPacket pickup will be on Friday before the race from 3-6:30 at the same address as the race.
