Every step of this race will help to further the mission of King’s Ranch Ministries to help children from traumatic beginnings stay in loving\, forever homes. \nThe race includes chipped race timing\, a race shirt\, water stations\, and a fun event for the entire family. Both walkers and runners are encouraged! Strollers are welcome as well! \nNOTE: We will place our final order for race shirts early on September 12. To be guaranteed a race shirt in your desired size\, we encourage you to sign up for the race by midnight on Sunday\, September 11. When you are hungry after the run\, head on over to the Maumelle Food Truck Festival and enjoy some good food with 40+ food trucks and vendors to satisfy everyone’s cravings! This is a great run for beginners looking for a new challenge\, or for the experienced runner looking for a enjoyable fall race to train for. The course is a looped course\, with the 5k being one loop around the lake\, and the 10k will be two! The course will have a 2 hour time limit. Come and join us for a fun day at Lake Willastein\, celebrating and supporting the city of Maumelle! \nEvery finisher will receive a medal. Specific awards will be handed out to the top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 and under\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70 and over for both the 5k and 10k. \nRegister before October 19\, 2025 to guarantee your T-shirt and medal! DESCRIPTION:Description\n\n\nDESCRIPTION – This is a 2 mile race through town that starts at the Cave City Middle School and runs down Highway 167 to the Stop light on Center where it turns right and finishes on the scenic backstreets of Cave City through Matlock Road. Highway 167 will be a closed course featuring a huge crowd that will be set for the Christmas Parade as our runners lead the way for the annual Christmas Parade. After the race there will be an after party that all the runners are invited to at the Cave City Middle School. \n*NEW WALKERS DIVISION!!! Same route\, top 3 male and female walkers award division! Same benefits as 2 mile running race\, but for walkers! Walking division is $20 to pre-registered and $25 Day-of-Registration. Shirt deadline is the same as running (November 29). \nRace entry fees include a T-Shirt and runners in the following age groups will receive an award. Top 3 male and Top 3 female overall.
